Il s'agit d'une édition de 252 pages dans laquelle on vous indique les meilleurs bars, les meilleurs restaurants, les meilleurs brunchs, les meilleurs spas, etc. Ce magazine va vous donner le goût de New York. Il est en vente chez les marchands de journaux montréalais comme la Maison de la Presse internationale.

FÊTE DE LA SAINT-PATRICK: Vendredi prochain 17 mars a lieu la fête de la St-Patrick. À New York, le défilé de la St-Patrick a toujours lieu le jour même de la fête, le 17 mars. Cette année, ce sera la 245e édition. Le défilé se met en branle à 11 heures du matin à l'angle de Fifth Avenue et 44th Street. Le défilé remonte Fifth Avenue jusqu'à 86th Street. Le meilleur endroit pour regarder passer le défilé, c'est le long de Central Park, au nord de 59th Street.

PUBS IRLANDAIS: On me demande quels sont les pubs irlandais où l'on peut prendre une bière à Manhattan. Voici d'abord le pub irlandais le plus connu, que le touristes visitent à longueur d'année.

Il s'agit de McSorley's Old Ale House, situé 15 East 7th Street, entre Second et Third Avenue, dans le East Village. McSorley's a ouvert ses portes en 1854, et on dirait que l'établissement n'a pas été repeint depuis. Quand on entre dans McSorley's Old Ale House, on a vraiment l'impression d'être en 1854. Il y a du bran de scie par terre. On y vend de la bière pression (draft beer) pas chère. Je vous préviens, cependant : vous ne serez pas les seuls touristes. Mais il y a aussi des vrais New-yorkais. Le jour de la St-Patrick, McSorley's va être bondé.
